Battlefords Midget Stars Team InfoOur Team Newly reorganized and dedicated to team work and the pursuit of common goals. Our Goal A commitment to provide a positive hockey experience while maintaining high educational standards. League The Battlefords Stars play in the Saskatchewan Midget League. The league consists of 12 teams in the province of Saskatchewan with a fully balanced schedule of 44 games, of which 22 are home games. The provincial champion competes for the western Canada title and the winner competes for the Air Canada Cup national championship. Team Operations The team operates under an elected Board of Directors. The team is affiliated with the Battlefords Minor Hockey system. The staff consists of a Director of Hockey operations, Head Coach, assistant coach. View the team constitution. Budget The Stars operate on an annual budget of roughly $150,000. Corporate Sponsorship is essential to the ongoing development of the Midget AAA program in the Battlefords region. The players are required to contribute to the team in the form of registration fees and fund raising programs. Fan Support The focus of the team recruitment is from the immediate trading area. The team plays out of the North Battleford Civic Center and fan support is very good from the region. Affiliation Affiliated with WHL teams, Battlefords North Stars of the SJHL, an other SJHL Clubs. Staff Staff includes individuals with a wealth of hockey experience including SHA Sask. First program of excellence, Provincial Championships, Center Four League Championships, Midget AAA, SJHL and WHL experience as a player, and WHL Scouting.
