Battlefords Midget Stars Community Involvement

North Battleford Midget Stars Hockey Club, building and developing on and off the ice.

Our organization will not only develop players on the ice but as well as off the ice. Through Community Service we help players to build a stronger sense of community and self, developing themselves into not only a strong player on the ice but also a strong person off the ice.

This “Self Building” is done through volunteer commitments community service clubs, organizations and local schools. We feel that the Battlefords Midget Hockey Club is here to not only develop young men as a player but also develop them as a person. We feel that our players will be a person much longer than they will be a hockey player, and that is something that the Battlefords Midget Hockey Club is proud to be a part of.

Through our community service we have developed a strong bond with the community and businesses in the Battlefords making it a positive community to play in.

The Stars started doing volunteer work in 2003 as a way to rebuild the community's views on the club and to help develop the players on and off the ice. Schools and service clubs in the community were contacted and asked if there was any way that the team could be involved in their programs..
